Braylin came into this world 6.21.14 and I never thought I would have a child with a special condition. Today, I reflect on Braylin’s almost seven years on this earth. How is it possible this little miracle turned into a strong, fierce, independent child? Bray had a collodion membrane, inverted eyes, plastic like skin, I couldn't touch her for days unless it was with a glove. Vermont wasn’t prepared and neither was I. I remember asking why.... why did this happen? Did I do something wrong during my pregnancy? Would she be bullied? Would she ever have a "normal" life? Today my answer is, normal is boring! She has inspired so many by being different. She tells people about her condition without skipping a beat. My butterfly baby is one of the strongest kiddos I know!

FIRST helped when ichthyosis challenged me the first few years with infection, ear issues, scalp, constant skin everywhere!
