I'm excited and grateful to share that I've been awarded the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) Individual Predoctoral Fellowship to Promote Diversity in Health-Related Research (Parent F31-Diversity) from the National Institutes of Health!

This fellowship will support my predoctoral training and help advance our research on rare inherited skin conditions. I'm especially thankful to my advisor,  Ganna Bilousova, for her guidance and support throughout this process.

I have dedicated my career to the advancement of translational research for rare diseases, including my own. I have a rare congenital skin condition called lamellar ichthyosis which was recently described to be caused by variants in ASPRV1. My living with this disease, in addition to my interest in the life sciences, has inspired my pursuit of translational research. I recently joined the University of Colorado School of Medicine's Human Medical Genetics and Genomics program.
