Alan Joe, our sweet rainbow baby,  was born September 4, 2024. He has Epidermolytic Ichthyosis, EI. We knew nothing about this condition. It was a rare random genetic mutation and was later detected through genetic testing. He is thriving! We are learning how to care for his skin while he is learning about us at the same time. He is almost eight months old and doing so well. Eight months ago we were terrified. But now we are now rolling with the punches. EI won’t slow our boy down!
