Yale Conducting Study of a New Topical Medication for Patients with Netherton Syndrome
A clinical study to investigate a new topical medication for patients with Netherton syndrome will be conducted at Yale University (Principal Investigator: Leonard Milstone, MD) and Saint Louis University (Principal Investigator: Elaine Siegfried, MD). This study “Exploratory Study to Assess the Safety and Efficacy of BPR277 in Subjects with Netherton syndrome” is sponsored by Novartis and is open to those meeting the criteria listed below.
We are looking for generally healthy males or females between 18 and 65 years of age with a diagnosis of Netherton syndrome.
- Daily application of study medication for 4 weeks
- 6 clinic visits
- Laboratory and ECG assessments
- 4 skin biopsies
- Completion of written questionnaire
