MONSTER Dash in Friendswood, an Outrageous Success!

For the 13th year, Dawn Johnson and her family hosted a Monster Dash/Fun Run 5K to raise money for FIRST. Dawn’s daughter Jordan is affected with epidermolytic ichthyosis

The Johnsons and their incredible army of friends, neighbors, and family members, nearly 300 in total, gathered together at Friendswood High School, in Friendswood, Texas.   This year’s event proved to be a day of endless fun!  A photo booth kept smiles on faces all day long, in addition to the amazing goody bags, Monster Dash T-shirts, a fun run, and the fact that everyone was gathering for a very worthy cause. Funds raised totaled $25,000! (their highest amount to date!). Additionally Dawn did an outstanding job of contacting press and promoting her event.  WKHOU News aired a fantastic human interest piece after the event on the 10PM news.

FIRST would like to extend a giant heap of gratitude to Dawn Johnson and the caring community of Friendswood. Your commitment and generosity has made a difference in the lives of so many. Thank you!
