Many programs exist to help individuals find their medications at reduced cost or free-of-charge. Some offer their services at no cost; others ask for a small processing fee or a monthly membership fee, and others charge a small fee per medication. Most connect the consumer to patient assistance programs offered by the drug manufacturers. Many drug manufacturers who operate in the U.S. offer patient assistance programs for some of their prescription products; these are called pharmaceutical manufacturers patient assistance programs. You and your doctor can access the pharmaceutical manufacturers’ patient assistance programs on your own. However, some people find the paperwork required to apply to these programs overwhelming. The program listed below help you identify which programs you may be eligible for and help you navigate through the paperwork.
