Georgia member's fundraiser a huge success!
Congratulations to Mark and Kelly Klafter on the success of 'Bid For A Cure.' With the endless love and support of family and friends, hundreds of items for both live and silent auctions were secured. Artwork, sports memorabilia, rounds of golf, spa packages, and home décor were just some of the items that were up for bid. Local restaurants graciously donated food and beverages in addition to local sponsorships from businesses and companies. The Klafter's dedication and efforts raised over $50,000, which will be used to support the research of EHK. Researcher Dennis Roop, Ph.D. attended the successful auction and evening. Dr. Roop was a grant award recipient from FIRST for his project "Testing Therapeutic Approaches for Epidermolytic Hyperkeratosis Using a Preclinical Mouse Model". While visiting the Klafters, Dr. Roop had the opportunity to meet Adam, their five-year-old son who is affected with EHK.
