High School Honors Long-Time Teacher
Thomas P. is the grandfather of Emma Joy and Austin K., both of whom are affected with lamellar epidermal nevus. Tom was one of the founding teachers at Westlake High School in Westlake, Village, California 32 years ago. After 39 years of teaching, Tom decided to retire. Instead of a watch or traditional retirement gift, the faculty of the Social Sciences department where Tom taught, held a luncheon in his honor and presented him with a donation that they had collected for FIRST. What a wonderful tribute to Tom’s years of dedication to his students.
